Systems Automation Engineer :
As a QA Systems Automation Engineer, you’ll work alongside a team of highly-talented engineers in a fast-paced engineering environment at CommerceHub’s Albany office.

Our ideal candidate will have experience with Continuous Integration tools and be well versed with working in an Agile environment. This candidate will have very strong communication skills with a strong desire for not just a job opportunity but a career opportunity for them to grow with a company.

Specific Duties :
The QA Systems Automation Engineer is responsible for :
** Authoring and managing configuration management frameworks, such as Puppet/Chef
** Performing troubleshooting tasks
** Assisting with application deployment, operation, monitoring, profiling/performance tuning, and troubleshooting
** Working in concert with Quality Assurance to ensure the latest stable build of applications exist in corresponding environments
** Managing web-based applications in a Linux environment
** Deploying virtualization and cloud platforms, such as VMWare

Requirements :
Successful candidates for the position must meet the following requirements:
** Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field
** Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.)
** Strong understanding of internet technologies, such as Apache Tomcat, MongoDB or something similar
** Proficient with code management, tracking, and deployment systems (e.g. JIRA, Jenkins, Git, Mercurial, Bamboo, etc.)
** Experience working in an Agile environment
** Experience with Java
** Some Linux experience

Additionally, knowledge of and/or experience with the following is a plus :
** Detail-oriented, inquisitive, must have strong troubleshooting/debugging skills and a passion for problem solving
** Must be able to multi-focus and orchestrate priority tasks
** Proven communication skills and the ability to work across teams
** Should be comfortable with an extremely Agile development team and with rapid deployment methodologies
** Possess a “roll up your sleeves” attitude to get the job done
** Thrive in a startup-like environment
