Position Details :
** $58, 630 – $71, 189 plus superannuation and leave loading
** Full time, ongoing position available
** Working within the State Intelligence Division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands*
About the role :
As the successful applicant, you will have an understanding of research methods to source and analyse relevant and valid search.
Some of your duties will include :
** Supporting research and evaluation activities within the Sex Offenders Registry (SOR) Offender Management Team (OMT)
** Contribute to accurate data collection and analysis pertaining to the OMT
** Access and utilise a variety of computer systems and applications in order to collect and effectively manage, maintain, prepare and deliver research information
** Provide authoritative timely advice, information and assistance to senior forensic psychologist and other OMT members through a range of mediums including, oral and written reports
Skills and experience :
** Understanding of a range of quantitative and qualitative research methods is essential
** Research related experience including use of search data-bases is essential
** Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel is highly regarded
Requirements and relevant information :
** Within three months of appointment, the successful candidate must be willing to undergo and successfully attain a Security Clearance to the level of Negative Vetting Level 1. To obtain this clearance you must hold an Australian Citizenship
** You will be required to undergo regular psychological assessments
Note :
*Your usual place of work will be within the State Intelligence Division, Intelligence and Covert Support Command however you may be required to work at any other division within the Command as required.
