Position Details :
** A world-class cultural and creative centre, ACMI explores film, television and digital culture through a vibrant program of exhibitions, film screenings, online and learning programs.
** We have a number of casual opportunities within our Public Programs team to utilize your technical know-how coupled with your exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills to support the successful operation of audio visual operations for ACMI’s facilities and play a pivotal role in delivering ACMI’s broad range of public and commercial events including exhibition openings, conferences and talks, live events and corporate functions.
** To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in the provision and hands-on operation of venue, staging and integrated technical services coupled with pro-active work ethic and the ability to work as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability in reading, interpretation and actioning various staging and technical set-up diagrams and schematics is required. A practical understanding of OH&S practices with particular attention to the safe installation and removal of portable staging, technical, theatrical lighting and rigging equipment is critical to the success of this role.
