Business Consultant :
** We are looking for people who are aware of technology and how it can be best implemented and used, as well as how the challenges that can arise in large critical implementation projects may be ideally addressed by these opportunities.
** After an initial training period on the AVALOQ core banking application and in project methodology, our consultants will join a project team and work hand in hand with our clients to help them implement the system.
Your main responsibilities:
** Implementation of the AVALOQ core banking system including writing business specifications, enhancing overall concepts, evaluating business impacts and training end-users.
Your qualifications:
** University degree or equivalent in economics, engineering or law.
** Experience in Business Analysis, Consulting or Engineering and can demonstrate a clear understanding of the banking, private banking, retail banking and wealth/asset management user/client community.
** A practical knowledge of relational databases (ideally Oracle) and/or programming are an asset.
** Willingness to work remotely at clients’ premises on short and/or long-term projects abroad (i.e. up to 18 months).
** Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a good command of written and spoken English and German. French, Italian or Spanish is an asset. Swiss or EU citizenship.

PL/SQL Developer :
After an initial training period on the AVALOQ core banking application, our developers will join a project team and work hand in hand with our clients to help them implement the system.
Your main responsibilities:
** Extend and enhance the core business functionality of the AVALOQ core banking system based on Oracle PL/SQL.
** Analyze, design and develop new functionality, interfaces and enhancements to the product core.
** Integrate our solutions into the customer environment in close cooperation with our consultants or with the clients business analysts.
** Constantly learn and improve in a scrum environment. Be a strong and reliable partner for your colleagues and our customers.
Your qualifications (for all positions):
** Higher applied sciences degree in IT application or database development.
** University degree in computer science or similar.
** Strong software engineering skills in object oriented and relational data modeling.
** Strong analytical skills and willing to focus on Database Engineering.
** Working knowledge of English.
** Willingness to work remotely at clients’ premises on short and/or long-term projects abroad (i.e. up to 18 months).
** Swiss or EU citizenship.
Additional qualifications for a Junior position:
** Good knowledge of and proven practical experience with at least one DBMS.
** Talent for and strong interest in DB development.
Additional qualifications for the more senior positions:
** Experience with Oracle 10/11g.
** Working experience with PL/SQL development in real-life projects.
** At least 2 years full time experience in software engineering and database development.
Any of the following is an asset:
** Working knowledge of German, French or Spanish.
** Experience with PL/SQL optimization and tuning.
** Working experience in a bank environment, the financial industry or insurance industry.
** Experience in data and process modeling, use case-oriented requirements engineering, interface development to data warehouse and trading platform or other third party systems.
** Experience in Crystal Reports, XML, TOAD, SQL-Developer, Avaloq ICE.
