Senior Software Support Engineer :
Responsibilities :
** The position requires the ability to analyze complex software issues and provide technical leadership in the resolution workflow.
** You will work with external customers and escalate internally as required.
** Scope of software issues include supporting integration efforts for new 3rd party developers, assisting in customer configuration, and general helpdesk software support.

Skills & Experience Requirements :
** Strong issue/defect management skills.
** Experience provide technical support to proprietary software platforms.
** Demonstrate knowledge of working with APIs and experience with XML, XSLT transformations.
** Experience with JavaScript and other programming languages.
** Solid understanding of networks.
** Strong analysis and problem solving skills working in a technical software environment.
** Ability to manage issue resolution workflow in internal and external organizations.
** Airline travel industry experience.

Of Importance :
** Background in software development/programming given preference.
** Experience working with off/near shore teams.
** Familiar with SharePoint, Bugzilla, and issue management systems.
** BS in Computer Science/Information Systems field or equivalent

Responsibilities :
** Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database, and programming technology.
** Troubleshoot production Issues.
** Test and develop programming modifications.
** Write new program code using prescribed specifications.
** Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
** Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor.
** Write and maintain programming documentation.
** Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed.
** Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference.
** Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Experience :
** Must have strong development experience in object-oriented languages C++.
** 4+ yeas experience developing code in C++ Windows environment
** Must have strong programming and analytical skills and be willing to code full time.
** Understanding of XML/SOAP, web services, web application development.
** Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills.
** Knowledge of the Microsoft operating systems and tools, such as Microsoft Studio.
** Good organizational skills and ability to simultaneously work-on and manage multiple tasks concurrently in a fast paced start-up environment.
** Ability to adapt to change.
** Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
** Experience in travel distribution technologies (Airline, CRS or GDS) plus.
** Expertise in Fare and Pricing is a great plus.
** Must have at least a Bachelor’s degree preferable in Computer Science.
