Summary :
Working on a 28/28 rotational basis and reporting to the Field Manager in Albania, the Instrumentation Technician provides technical support for our facilities constructions, upgrades and maintenance, and oversees day to day electrical duties to ensure proper standards are followed.
Responsibilities :
** Plans, schedules, and coordinates instrumentation requirements with other Company staff and Contractors
** Create and manage an instrument department for repair and calibration of associated equipment
** Provide QA/QC program for maintaining Bankers Petroleum Albania assets
** Mentoring programs to develop local talent in the field of electric motor repair and rewind
** Assisting in the procurement of electrical/instrument materials both locals and abroad
** Maintain fiscal responsibility when completing project
** Initiate and follow through on a preventative maintenance program to mitigate downtime and costly repairs
** Analyzing and determining root cause of equipment failures and perform repairs
** Support field operators on issues concerning safety, regulatory and industry codes related to electrical, instrumentation systems and SCADA equipment
** Maintains, variety of reports, including daily activity reports, preventative maintenance reports
** Configuring, programming, installation and testing of the SCADA system
** On- site training of staff as required
** Document and record installations and calibrations
Qualifications and Skills :
** Trade certification in Electrical or Instrumentation with 8+ years of related experience
** Proficient computer skills : Solid knowledge in programming, instrumentation, electrical and controls
** Experience on instrumentation, electrical and/or electronics background
** Experience in configuring and programming of SCADA systems and PLC’s
** Excellent verbal and written communication skills
** Organization and teamwork skills
** Ability and willingness to learn and work in a team environment
** Ability to establish priorities, meet deadlines, and concentrate on detailed information
** Valid driver’s license
** Must be able to respond to after hour’s callout situations, as necessary
